Special Memories Of A Special Event

On Saturday 17th November 2007, Northern Ireland was priveleged to welcome Allison Durham Speer, Debbie Bennett, and their friends and family members to its shores.
After a long build up and much preparation, the special visitors had arrived. Bangor Elim Conference Centre was the venue for the concert, and when the doors opened 700+ people took their seats for the event, compered by Mr Ronnie Morrison. Following a couple of pieces by HeavenBound, Allison ministered in song to those gathered. What a powerful voice! One particularly memorable piece was her rendition of "Because He Lives". Mrs Debbie Bennett, wife/widow of the late Roger Bennett, paid a very moving tribute to her husband. Following pieces sung by Mrs Kathryn Mitchell and Rev William McCrea, which Roger had been heavily involved in arranging, Rev McCrea interviewed Debbie about her husband's work and long time involvement in gospel music. Roger was a very gifted musician, singer and songwriter. In order for his work to live on, Debbie has brought out a DVD and CD containing some of Roger's work never before released - for further details see our Online Store.
This truly was a memorable occasion and we wish God's richest blessing on our American brothers and sisters in Christ.
