Gospel Concert In Aid Of Earthquake Victims

We have all seen pictures and heard news of the devastation in Haiti caused by the massive earthquake of 12th January, 2010.  Up to 1.5 million people have become homeless because of this disaster and many more have no access to food, clean water or medical supplies. It is believed that around 3 million people in total have been affected by the earthquake so there is a great need to provide aid for these dear people.



 
There is an immense task ahead in the next few months and years to help the people of Haiti and give them support. To this end, Ards Charity Committee have organised a gospel concert for SATURDAY, 20TH FEBRUARY, 2010, the proceeds of which will be used to help the earthquake victims.  The concert will be held in the QUEENS HALL, NEWTOWNARDS and will start at 7.30pm.  Taking part will be Stephen Olphert, Joy Boyd, Emmanuel, Janice McCreanor and ourselves. Chairman for the evening will be Colin McFarland.
