3 girls..., 3 voices..., 3 backgrounds...
1 Saviour..., 1 song..., 1 message... !!

When we go out singing, many people ask how HeavenBound got together, we have simply one answer – the Lord. For in the months leading up to December 2000 God was moving in His own wonderful way in each of our lives to bring about the circumstances that would lead to us serving Him together in song. And as we look back through the years since HeavenBound came into being, we can see the trace of His mighty hand, right down to the smallest details.

For it was in December 2000 that God took 3 girls from different backgrounds, living miles apart from each other, and brought them together because He had a purpose for them as a group. Joanne and Vivienne both knew Louise through mutual friends but we didn’t know each other very well at that stage. However, God burdened us each individually about serving Him and, following much prayer on the matter, He led us in this path. We can’t say that we don’t know each other well now! – we have always been sisters in the Lord, but now we are also best of friends and most importantly prayer partners.

Thinking back over the time since we first started singing, we have so much to praise God for – both in our individual lives and as a group. God, through ‘HeavenBound’, has strengthened and encouraged all 3 of us, and we trust and pray that the pieces which we sing will be used by Him to edify other Christians also. This is one strand of a two-fold ministry. The other strand is striving to reach the unsaved with the good news of the gospel – that they too can find forgiveness, love and mercy in the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.

The title of our first recording, ‘GLORY TO THEE’, is a reflection of the desire of our hearts – we truly want glory to be given to the Lord for all He has done for us. He gave His only Son to die on Calvary and, because of this, each of us in the group know we are ‘HeavenBound’. We look forward to that day when we can sing and praise God on the golden streets of heaven. But most of all we pray that each of you will know with assurance that you will be there too.

Our most recent recording is entitled ‘THE POWER OF THE CROSS’. We always strive to lead people to the Cross – for it is there they can find the One who is the Saviour of the world.

We have prayed much about this recording and God opened doors which led us in a path which we would never have chosen for ourselves. In April 2007 we had the great privilege of working with brothers and sisters in Christ across the Atlantic. God was truly with us and it was so humbling to see specific prayers answered. It is the desire of our hearts that this new recording will bless all those who hear it and most of all that souls would be saved.
